Shirley Brown, Office and Client Relations Manager
Hello, my name is Shirley and it is my great pleasure to be serving as manager here at YBFF. I have worked with this amazing team for many years, as a pet sitter/dog walker and then as field manager, getting to know all your wonderful pets. I have lived in Colorado for most of my life and have always had pets of all shapes and sizes which have included dogs, cats, birds, fish, bunnies, lizards, sugar gliders, goats and horses. I have been married 33 years, with 5 children and 5 Grandchildren who are the love of my life. I am excited to get to know all of you and your furry babies!
Paula, Office Assistant / Fill In
Hello, my name is Paula and I work mainly in the office so I am not your everyday dog walker, but I love to see your pets whenever I am able to. I also work as a photographer, so I love to take photos of all the furry friends that I meet. I am a farm girl from Ohio, but I have lived in many places as a United States Marine. Colorado became my home six years ago, and I’m not planning on leaving any time soon. I hope to become good friends with your best friends.
Marilyn Degner, Dog Walker / Pet Sitter
Hi, I’m Marilyn and I’m really looking forward to spending time and getting a little exercise with your pets. I became a YBFF team member after years of being a YBFF client. I currently have one pup, Popeye (missing an eye), who is a rescue puppy Shirley was fostering and I could not resist. I also have a salt-water aquarium, which is a perpetual challenge, but I love the fish. My husband and I have lived in Colorado for over 25 years and have two grown children. As a stay-at-home mom for many years, I had a menagerie of pets I was always caring for ranging from hamsters to an English Mastiff. My other interests include gardening, golf, and travel.

Hi, I’m Sherry and all I can say is I love every single animal there is. I joined YBFF many years ago and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I love waking up every day knowing I will be spending all my day with animals. I have many of my own as well and love them so much too but now I get to share all my love to other’s pets when they can’t be with them.

Courtney Clifton, Dog Walker / Pet Sitter
Hi, my name is Courtney and I am a Colorado Native. I graduated from The Art Institute of Colorado in June 2016 and have a bachelor’s degree in Photography. I enjoy taking photographs of animals and food. I grew up having an English Springer Spaniel for 14 Years named Domino. The Funny memories I have of him was that he was always afraid of feathers he would find in the backyard and When we would
take trips in the car he would look out the back window and bark at the semi-trucks. I love and enjoy taking care of animals, and can’t wait to take care of your precious babies.
Kate, Dog Walker / Pet Sitter
Hello, I’m Kate, a Colorado native with a love for animals, the outdoors, and walking. Being a dog walker/pet sitter is perfect for me. Over the years I have lived with five dogs, twelve cats, four gerbils, three snakes, a parrot, an iguana, and a horse. Currently, my two cats, Lily and Violet, keep me on my toes at home, and provide endless opportunities for snuggling. At YBFF, I work to insure human family members know their animal family members are secure, properly cared for, and loved. I love meeting your animal family members and getting to know them visit-by- visit. I’m proud to be part of the YBFF team that strives for excellence in pet care! On days off I enjoy gardening and spending time with my wife, Sheila. I also work as a freelance writer.
Shawn, Dog Walker / Pet Sitter
Hi, I’m Shawn. I have loved animals all my life. I have had dogs and cats, fish on occasion – and once even a pair of horned toad lizards – as pets since I was ten years old. Perhaps the only thing that comes close to being as wonderful as listening to the laughter of small children is the unconditional love that animals give us. I find that watching fish swim in their aquariums is also a great stress reducer. I am always pleased to get to know more animals, and helping to care for them gives me a great feeling. At the moment, I help take care of three at home – two male German Shepherds, Taur and Ruger, and a cat named Mitten. (Taur is pictured with me in the photo.) I look forward to caring for your animals with the same attention and affection as I would my own pets.
